Virginia Beach Activities

There’s something for everyone to enjoy at Virginia Beach! Enjoy swimming and sunbathing on the beach during the warmer months, visit the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier for an authentic look at sea fishing, or simply take it all in from the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. This popular landmark stretches from 2nd to 40th street and offers unparalleled views of the sea. Take a sunset stroll with the family, enjoy live music during the summer months, or stop in at one of the many oceanfront restaurants that line this famed walking path.

On the street-side of the oceanfront, you will find charming beach-themed stores, quaint ice cream and coffee shops, and unique attractions like the Atlantic Fun Park, Nightmare Mansion, Pirate’s Paradise Miniature Golf, and more! Atlantic Avenue also features an assortment of clubs, bars, and dining options for anyone looking to let loose and have an exciting night out.

No trip to Virginia Beach is complete without a visit to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. Spend a day visiting numerous marine wildlife and habitat exhibits, book a behind-the-scenes tour for an up close and personal experience with select animals or check out the on-site Adventure Park for climbing and ziplining adventures.

First Landing State Park is a true escape amongst the hustle and bustle of Virginia Beach. The park received its name for being the first place English Colonists landed in 1607. Its swamps, lagoons, forest areas and waterways hold a rich history that stretches back to our nation’s beginnings. Today the park is home to 20 miles of walking trails, a beachfront along the Chesapeake Bay, and educational markers scattered throughout the property.
