Colony Updates

I wanted to update the owners on a few items.

Goodmanagement is the property management company we (the Board) hired to help out with the Colony.

They bring a wide variety of skills with them. They will do our bookkeeping, taxes, and discounts on certain purchases and help out the Property Manager when needed. Their sister company, TripForth will rent the delinquent weeks we have. So far they are over the projected income for the year. This is great news for the Colony.

Unfortunately, as of right now if an owner wants to rent their unit out through TripForth the owner has to pay a 30% fee.

However you can rent it yourself for free, or there are two realtors that many owners use. Jessica Burke 757-580-0050 and Patricia Grossi 757-373-3361.

There is no towel exchange on Wednesday, which is why we have a washer and dryer.

There is no early check-in. Check-in is at 4:00pm. However you may come earlier to fill out all the paperwork you just won’t get your keys until 4:00pm.

There are no celebrations for birthdays or anniversaries given by the Colony.

Owners’ credit card hold is $300, anyone else is $600. That includes friends of owners.

Please upon departure put all dirty linen outside the room in the hall, not inside the room.

Dog fees have gone up. Weight is now 50lbs and $100 fee.

Please bring a copy of your dog’s up-to-date vaccination records we are required to have them in your file.

Please let us know if you have a dog, it takes longer to clean a room that had a dog in it. Some people have been sneaking their dogs in and trying to not pay. This does not go over well.

One reason the fee went up is the time and cost for the Colony to clean the room. We just spent $17,000 deep steam cleaning all carpets, disinfecting, deodorizing & Scotch-Guard all furniture. Cushions and leather furniture also.

The new pool hours are 9:00am to 9:00pm.

Hopefully, this helps with what’s going on at the Colony, we are improving daily.
