Maintenance Fees

The maintenance fee is due on January 1st every year. If it is not paid by January 31st your week may be rented out to help pay for the maintenance fee.

What does this mean to the owner? We must have the income to run the Colony. After January 31st if you have not paid your maintenance fee you will not be able to use it, rent it or spacebank it until it is paid. It may be rented out through Trip Forth. If this happens you will not be able to use your week and whatever Trip Forth collects from rent minus taxes their commission and any third-party commission goes to your maintenance fee. It is very possible if they rent it out your maintenance fee will not be covered completely. They start booking open rooms on February 1st.

Please do not show up and expect to pay your fee at check-in as in the past. Call ahead and see if it’s still available. This will save you from driving all the way to find out your unit is rented out and you can’t stay.

I hope this makes it easier to understand what we are doing to bring in money that is not there from the owners.

We still have a lot of units to sell. I would love to see all units owned again and no more outside renters.
